Lion Kills Oryx in Front of Joy's Camp!

On the evening of Tuesday 18th January, guests at Joy's Camp saw the shadow of a lioness, elusively strolling past the front of the camp...
"It was like a scene from the Lion King" noted one guest, Penny.
The following day, 19th Jan, having spent the night near the Joy's Camp springs, the lioness makes her strike - preying on a drinking Oryx (a large Northern species of antelope, found in these areas). The lioness makes her kill, seen from camp, and then drags the carcass past the front of tents 1 and 2, to a safe, quiet spot to feed.
This is the latest of a number of lion kills which have happened in front of Joy's Camp, due to the lush springs which attract plains game and predators alike to the area.
